A simply wonderful antique French sofa with original cane work in brilliant condition. Lovely curved shape to the arms and feet and retaining the original horsehair seat cushions.
Guy Goodfellow’s Fez linen in Sea Foam is the fabric I chose to recover the sofa. The sofa watery blues and greens suit almost every setting and the small scale Moroccan pattern is interesting without dominating.
The sofa has its original spring system (see photograph). There is 1 small dent in the caning at the back behind the cushion (see photograph).
