The star of the show! In my humble opinion…

The word suzani comes from the Persian, ‘suzan’, meaning needle.

The craftsmanship in this suzani is astonishing - the silk is hand sewn by women and girls in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. This particular region is heavily influenced by Indian art and you can see this reflected in the colours and intricate pattern design of the embroidery. You will never find two suzanis the same which makes this item so special.

Working with Balmain & Balmain we designed and built a stool that would fit perfectly with the suzani panel and chose a bright cornflower blue linen for the sides.
